How to Recover Deleted WhatsApp Messages
WhatsApp, being one of the most popular messaging platforms, understands the significance of preserving conversations. Fortunately, the app incorporates several methods to recover accidentally deleted messages.
One of the primary approaches involves utilizing WhatsApp’s native backup feature. WhatsApp automatically backs up chats and media to your device’s storage or cloud services like Google Drive (for Android) or iCloud (for iOS).
To recover deleted messages using this feature, uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp on your device. During the reinstallation process, WhatsApp prompts users to restore from a backup. Follow the on-screen instructions, and the app will retrieve chats from the most recent backup, potentially recovering lost messages.
Another method for restoring deleted WhatsApp messages involves navigating to the ‘Recent’ folder within the app. WhatsApp keeps a ‘Recent’ folder that temporarily holds deleted messages before permanently erasing them.
To access this folder, open WhatsApp and go to the chat or conversation where messages were deleted. At the top of the chat window, look for the ‘Restore’ or ‘Retrieve’ option, which appears when there are recently deleted messages in that conversation.
By selecting this option, WhatsApp attempts to recover messages deleted within the last 24 hours, offering a chance to reinstate these messages back into the conversation.
